Railway construction takes experience, knowledge, and the right equipment. Our safety focused team is in constant communication with our clients, contactors and interest groups allowing us to effectively complete projects in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. Our personnel have completed numerous grading projects, many of which have been on Class 1 Mainline Track in western Canada. We also have extensive experience in completing Switching Yards and Transload Facility Projects and have been involved in many successful design-build projects including turn-key rail terminals.
Accessing Chemco’s large fleet of equipment and leveraging Chemco’s experience and relationships with quality sub-contractors allows Chemco Rail the ability to deliver full scale civil construction projects that are complex and varied in scope.
Railway maintenance is vital to the success of Class 1 Rail Companies. When you work on the right of way of a high-volume railway, maintaining operational track is of paramount importance. At Chemco Rail, our people have the training, certification and experience to provide your company with excellent support. Our personnel are CROR qualified and experienced in the operation of Hytrackers, boom trucks and hi-rail light vehicles. Chemco Rail has years of experience in emergency response including grade stabilizations, grade reconstructions and track outages. Chemco Rail’s line of specialized equipment is available to assist with maintenance work including boom trucks, Hytrackers, loaders and snowplow trucks. We have a wide range of earth moving equipment including excavators, dozers, graders and rock trucks to support railways in quickly reopening important rail corridors. In the winter months, we offer snow clearing support in rail yards, rural access roads and mainline track snow clearing on high elevation passes throughout British Columbia and Alberta.
