We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Project Coordinator to support the planning and execution of civil construction projects. In this role, you will assist with organizing project activities, maintaining schedules, and working with craft labour to ensure projects stay on course. You will play a key role in coordinating and communicating with stakeholders, supporting the project team, and ensuring all work meets established quality standards. Your strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks will contribute to the successful delivery of our construction projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and assist in construction projects from conception to completion
- Review project scope, plans and specifications to ensure compliance with specifications, codes and regulations
- Communicate with the client, other trades, subcontractor, and craft labour to ensure project schedule is maintained
- Monitor project work fronts/timelines and adjust as necessary
- Identify, mitigate and resolve any project-related issues or conflicts that may arise
- Ensure project safety and compliance with environmental regulations
- Manage project documentation and other project-related materials, ensuring all resources are allocated effectively
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure project success
Requirements and Qualifications
- BSc/BA in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant field is preferred
- Diploma of equivalent certification Civil Engineering Technology
- 3+ years Project Coordinating, Project Controls, Estimating in the civil construction industry with a focus on mining and reclamation projects
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills and a strong attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills
- Works well in a team environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Compensation and Benefits
- Full-time position
- Subsistence is available, however local hires will be given priority
- Competitive wage based on experience (range between $30.00/hr to $45.00/hr, plus 10% vacation/statutory holiday pay)
