We are currently recruiting experienced Civil Site Superintendents to join our team. The successful candidates will have the ability to work both independently and within a team, have strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Team & Culture

The Civil Superintendent plays a key role in working alongside the Project Manager to manage the daily operations of the project. This position requires a solid background in Heavy Civil Mining Construction and Reclamation. Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively lead and collaborate with a team are essential, along with the capacity to take direction when needed. The role demands a demonstrated ability to delegate responsibilities and work closely with other team members. Drawing on their extensive experience and industry expertise, the Civil Superintendent helps guide the project to ensure goals and deliverables are achieved.

 

Expectations

  • Proven experience in Heavy Civil Construction projects
  • Skilled in decision-making and guiding crews in daily operations
  • Proficient in developing, maintaining, and managing project schedules
  • Strong leadership abilities to engage teams and effectively delegate tasks
  • Capable of actively participating in and contributing to meetings with stakeholders and project managers
  • Highly proficient in managing job site documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Advanced expertise in operating a wide range of earth-moving equipment
  • Proactive and strategic in focusing on mitigating risks related to safety, environmental concerns, and performance
  • Effective problem-solving skills in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Thorough understanding of provincial environmental and safety regulations

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in Heavy Civil Construction
  • 5+ years’ experience in Mining Construction and Reclamation is required
  • Able to work shift work and on remote job sites
  • Shift Boss tickets are a strong asset
  • Class 5 license

 

Compensation and Benefits

  • Full-time position
  • Subsistence is available, however local hires will be given priority
  • Competitive wage based on experience (range between $48.00/hr to $60.00/hr, plus 10% vacation/statutory holiday pay)
